Annas Resources awarded three-year CARF accreditation

Notice: Although Annas Resources has been endorsed and CARF-accredited to provide community support team services for adults and intensive in-home services for youth and their families, we regrettably can no longer offer these services because reimbursement from the state will be discontinued as of 12/31/2010. This change is due to North Carolina's recent rules stating that only Critical Access Behavioral Health Agencies (CABHAs) can get reimbursed for providing these services.

Chapel Hill, NC- (12/8/08) - CARF International (link opens new browser window) announced that Annas Resources has been accredited for a period of three years for its mental health program management and community supports programs for both children and adults, including our Intensive In-Home Services.

This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows Annas Resources' substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable, and accountable.

CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.

Additional Accreditation for Intensive In-Home Services

Chapel, NC- (9-2010) In September 2009, Annas Resources also received accreditation for its Intensive In-Home Services. The CARF report included the following survey summary.

On balance, Annas Resources has made a dedicated effort to maintain international accreditation and is providing services in a conscientious manner. It has demonstrated substantial conformance to the CARF standards, and the persons served benefit greatly from the programming provided. Staff members, the local management authority, and funding sources believe in the mission of the organization and its ability to provide quality services. The organization has the commitment to continue to embrace the CARF standards to improve the quality of services to its consumers.
